Ubuntu 18.04 bound to AD using PowerBroker Identity Services Open (PBISO) not using same AD UID

I'm encountering the issue stated on an Ubuntu 18.04 test VM. Previously, AD UIDs are the same on the user when logging in on Ubuntu but somehow it's not doing that recently.

Configuration guide being followed are as follows (we're going to deploy on VMware Horizon after).

Configure PowerBroker Identity Services Open (PBISO) Authentication

Now, using the Realmd method (Use the Realmd Join Solution for RHEL/CentOS 8.x), it does map it to the AD UID but unfortunately we're encountering issues when being deployed on VMware Horizon (some generic provisioning error) so going back to PBISO.

I've looked at the documentation for PBISO and there doesn't seem to be a config option force it to map the AD UIDs with the Ubuntu user accounts. Readlmd has though but again, won't deploy successfully with Horizon.

Anyone knows how to configure (i.e. force) PBIS to use AD UIDs?
