I've managed to install some packages provided by Seiko Epson and have my printer work normally.
However, I can't get the scanner to work. It's a EPSON L365 Multifunction printer/scanner/photocopier.
Currently I'm using Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, package imagescan_3.9.0-1epson4ubuntu14.04_amd64.deb for EPSON scanner support.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I am kind of going through the same thing, but I have a Epson WF-3640. I got the printer to work using Synaptic Package Manage's print-driver-escpr and I used the Simple Scan in Ubuntu and it worked. Give that I try.
I tried various tactics and tools from the Epson homepage, and none of it worked. Then I finally installed the sane library () and I could immediately use both the Simple Scan tool and Epson's suggested imagescan (). Hope this helps.
