I just installed Ubuntu 13.10 alongside windows 7. Because I could only boot Windows 7 I started Ubuntu live again from the DVD and ran boot repair.
Now the Computer is not able to boot anything. The error message "Please install an operating system on your hard disk" occurs.
I'm not even able to get into the 'normal' BIOS anymore: first time it worked and I could have changed the boot-options, but I left without changing anything. Now, when I want to enter the BIOS, only System Diagnostics appears with four options to chose from.

I would suggest trying the instructions to repair grub on terminal, located here. (scroll down past the boot-repair instructions). It looks like all of your data/partitions are intact, grub is just not installed. The above link should help.
Let me know if it works! DevNewb
1A similar problem with yours was solved by following this workaround. It should work for your too. You need the original DVD from which you installed Win7, and you also need to download BootRepair iso image and burn it on a regular CD or write it on some USB pendrive with Unetbootin tool. Detailed instructions are given in the provided link.
Remember to download the BootRepair iso image for your Ubuntu architecture, either 32bit image or the 64bit image.
